STABBED: Senior KAI official Shola Agbalajobi suffered horrific injuries to her left eye 
Yesterday, the city of Lagos witnessed horrific scenes in the Yaba areawhen a senior official of the “discipline” taskforce KAI was stabbed in the eye by traders. Also wounded were four officers of the force as they tried to restore some order in the market.
Sources who were around when the incident took place said that the traders stormed KAI office in the area around 3.00 p.m. with dangerous weapons such as cutlass, knife, broken bottles, among others and unleashed terror on KAI officials.A woman by the name Shade Agbalajobi was stabbed in the face, very close to one of her eyes, while another was injured on the head.
RESTORING ORDER: KAI officials was set up to maintain the environmental sanitation laws of Lagos state.
Although it is not clear what led traders to attack the KAI office, it was gathered that the KAI team had carried out a raid to prevent traders from selling their goods on the road.
