After spending £30,000 to get a full head of hair, Wayne Rooney may be a little disappointed that his new look already appears to be ageing him.
The Manchester United and England striker began the new Premier League season by scoring in Manchester Utd's 2-1 win at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.
And while football fans were no longer able to see his receding hairline, they also could not help but notice the tint of his new hair  – which appeared to include areas of light grey.
Rooney had the treatment at a central London clinic at the beginning of June.
    In
the days following the procedure, he revealed: 'Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25, why not? I'm delighted with the result.'
Rooney had a follicular transfer in which hairs are moved from donor areas – usually at the back of the head – and then replanted in bald areas.

And it isn't just his haircare regime where Rooney has been splashing out.
His wife Coleen, who has spent £200,000 travelling 50,000 miles on 10 trips around the world in the last year, hit the shops last week picking up bags and bags of designer clothes from WAG haunt cricket.
And the pair haven't just been spending money on themselves as Wayne and Coleen are believed to have donated £50,000 to a 'Reclaim Our Streets' fund, set up to help those whose lives were devastated by last week's riots in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Wayne said: 'What happened has left thousands of innocent victims - people whose businesses and homes have been attacked.
'We all depend on the shops and small businesses in our communities. They work really hard for what they have and they deserve everyone's support and protection.'
And Coleen added: 'My heart went out to those innocent people whose lives were wrecked by the rioting in so many cities this week.
'It's a great cause and I hope others will back the fund.'    www.naijapaymentsonline.com
