President Goodluck Jonathan has announced the dissolution of Federal Government boards and parastatals agencies. He made the announcement yesterday evening at the inauguration of the committee on the composition of the boards of Federal Government parastatals chaired by Vice President Namadi Sambo.
Jonathan who described the committee as “the most powerful committee,” said, the former members of the various boards were not sent packing because they were incompetent but because it was the tradition to do so every four years.
Other members are Senate President, David Mark represented by Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Speaker House of the Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Baraje and the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, who is to act as the secretary of the committee.
