EMMY AWARDS: BEST AND WORST DRESSED AT 2011 EMMY AWARD

emmy red carpet
Awards season is here again, and you know what that means! We get to scrutinize and take in every single piece of clothing on the red carpet. (Ah, how I love to scrutinize).
The purpose of the Emmys aside (which is to celebrate and recognize otherwise underappreciated talent in the series industry), we love also love to just stare at beautiful garments donned on the red carpet and ofcourse wiggle our noses at the unfortunate fashion victims.
And to the stars that landed on my worst dressed list; if you actually got a professional stylist to dress you up, I suggest you get your money back. PAH!

BEST DRESSED

The tux aside, I love his quirky reinvention of the geeky glasses on the red carpet. He pulls off a look that is a cross between Harry Porter and Tom Ford.

LEA MICHELLE

KATE WINSLET

KELLY OSBOURNE
Kelly channels her inner goth princess with silver grey hair, smokey eyes and a grand deep purple gown.

CAT DEELEY

HEIDI KLUM AND SEAL

AMY POEHLER
Colour hues like metallic blue are very tricky to pull off, but Amy Poehler does it the right way with minimalistic make up.

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS
Christina Hendricks; the 21st century poster girl for curvaceous pushes the envelope with this figure hugging, cleavage revealing gown.

TARAJI HENSON

JOHN KRASINSKI AND EMILY BLUNT

KERRY WASHINGTON
Kerry, Kerry, Kerry never fails to impress on the red carpet. I am literally drooling over this red sheer and glittery red carpet number.

ELLIE KEMPER

JENA USHKOWTIZ
Monochrome hues are very trendy this season, its’ flattering, looks incredibly chic and the two hues are easy to wear.

AMBER RILEY

JOHN HAM. JENNIFER WESTFIELD

WORST DRESSED

GWENTH PALTROW
Wonder what she was thinking showing up on the red carpet with this err… belly revealing number. I suppose this is appropriate if you’re a belly dancer somewhere on the Sahara desert. Yes?

HEATHER MORRIS
The hair, the bust fit, the endless ruffles. My eyes hurt.

JAYMA MAYS

JANE KWAROVSKI
Metallic. Bionic. Fashion fail.

STEVEN COJOCARAUN

LORETTA DEVINE

KALEY CUOCO
Natural blonde Kaley, switched up her look to a brunette for the Emmys. But, she looks washed out, the hemline of her dress is just awkward and those satin red pumps are just too chunky for a red carpet garment.

VANESSA MARANO

DOT MARIE JONES

MICHAEL PITT
It is not Halloween. Mr Pitt, please wear proper shoes to the Emmy’s next year and tell your date to brush her hair and lose the awful feathered accessory.
