FEC approves N22bn for Abuja, Kano airports
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved a total of N22,365b for the upgrade and rehabilitation of the airside and terminal building of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and a new terminal building at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano.
While the rehabilitation work at the airport in Abuja is to be handled by Julius Berger at the cost of N9.5b, the Aminu Kano Airport is to be done at a cost of N12.8 billion and was awarded to Messrs Crew Construction Company (Nigeria) Ltd in a joint venture arrangement with Messrs Cremona Construction Company Ltd (Italia) and Messrs Coffer Impex SRL (Romania).
