FORMER president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has been involved in some shuttle diplomatic moves across the country, in a bid to resolve the crisis that has engulfed the polity in recent times, sources said on Thursday.
The former president was first seen in Jos, Plateau State, on Wednesday, where he was said to have held secret meetings with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Junatul Nasir Islam (JNI), as well as some top government officials over the protracted crisis in Jos.
It was gathered that the former president had taken it upon himself to intervene in the protracted crisis around the country, if that would resolve the differences among the diferent groups.
While details of his meeting with stakeholders in Jos were not known, the former president was also said to have visited the home of the slain Boko Haram leader, Mohammed Yusuf, in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Thursday in Maiduguri.
