Chris Brown has been under fire since he assaulted his girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009 - leaving her with a split lip and cuts and bruises to her face - and prompted fresh complaints this week after he used a gay slur against photographers he thought had tipped off police about his illegally parked car.
Chris has, however, released a full apology for his actions and is now pleading with people to let him move on with his life.
He tweeted: "This will make things a whole lot easier. If you don't like/support me then don't listen to my music (sic).
"Latching on to my every word and criticizing makes you look thirsty. I can't even piss without somebody complaining. Imagine how I feel (sic).
"A person should not have to apologize every second for living life (sic)!"
Chris, who is 21, was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service for his assault on Rihanna.
In his apology to the gay community he said: "I have total respect for Gay community and my intention was not to insult anyone in it (sic)."
Although he may have found his comeback difficult, one person who has vowed to back Chris to the end is British rapper Chipmunk, with whom he worked on the track 'Champion'.
Chipmunk said: "I would stand behind Chris as a talented artist until the day I die.
"Personally, too. He's my friend and I will always support him."
