One of Ghana’s representatives for the ongoing Big Brother Amplified reality show, Confidence Haugen who was unceremoniously evicted from the show last Sunday has attributed her eviction as part of the plans of the other Housemates to get her out of the House.
According to the 37 year old Aphrodisiac night club owner, she was seen as a threat by the other Housemates and not necessarily because she was rude, bossy or boring as some viewers have suggested. Confidence was evicted last Sunday after spending six weeks in the game.
Speaking on Monday, a day after her eviction, Confidence said she was not bothered by the lost opportunity to win free cash, insisting that money was not her motivation for going into the contest. For her, it was for the exposure the show came with.
“I wanted to show that we have fabulous people in Africa just like the Kimora Lee Simonses and Kardashians; that there are hard working fabulous women in Ghana. I don’t need the money. It’s really about the exposure for me as a business woman”.
“I am a friendly person, however it is easier to be friendly to people who are genuine. Those people in the Big Brother house are not genuine. It is just a game for them. I tried to be real and open with all the members.” she echoed.
Confidence had been nominated three times since the inception of this year’s Big Brother six weeks ago, although she survived the first two, Africa voted not to save her this time, as she misses out on the $200,000 prize money.
Her eviction came to her as a surprise, hence she refused to hug or share a word with the other Housemates until perhaps her closest friends, Vimbai and Hanni came up to hug her that she unwillingly embraced the other housemates. Rather she muted, “finally, I’m free from all you people! I’m going to have some champagne,”
