THE National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has released to each family of the 10 slain corps members their gratuities which it increased from N100,000 to one N1 million.
This came on a day the NYSC also announced that Bauchi State government had fulfilled its N2 million pledge to each of the families of the deceased corps members. Recall that the corps members were killed during the post-election violence that rocked some states in the north, including Bauchi.
NYSC Director-General, Brig-General Maharazu Tsiga, in a statement issued yesterday by the Mr. Samson Agboko for Director (PR), said the deceased corps members were the first beneficiaries of the increase in gratuity from N100,000 to N1 million.www.facebook.com/emmanuelsamuko
