Prince William and Kate Middleton have granted a dying man his final wish by visiting him during their royal tour of Canada Sunday.
Terminally ill cancer patient Terry Joyce, 47, of Ottawa was informed by doctors that he had only 3 months left to live. He decided at that time that he would like to meet the royal couple before he died.
Now six weeks since he heard the devastating news, his wish has come true as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge set aside time from their busy tour schedule to meet Joyce.
Prince William and Kate met him in the gardens of Rideau Hall in Ottawa, the Governor General's residence.
As the prince approached Joyce, the dying man received assistance to slowly rise from his wheelchair and greet the royal guest with a hand-shake.
Prince William quickly tried to avoid causing discomfort to Joyce, telling him: “Please sit down again, it's a hot day.” what a caring Prince....
