Lauryn Hill has given birth to a baby boy, a message posted on the singer’s official Web site said. The reclusive and sometimes unpredictable star has yet to release the name of her sixth child or confirm the news personally.
A source told BlackCelebKids.com, which first broke the news of the birth, that there were complications with the delivery. But mother and baby are reportedly doing just fine now.
The former Fugees singer told concert-goers in June that she was expecting.
Rohan Marley, Hill’s former partner and the father of her five other children, congratulated the new mom on Twitter. “I'm forwarding all well wishes to Ms. Hill on the birth of her new son,” the son of Bob Marley tweeted. “I’m sure she'll appreciate the love being sent to her.”
Marley has said he is not the father of her latest baby. “I'm not married and I don't have anyone expecting anything,” he tweeted after Hill’s pregnancy became public. He’s also denied rumors that he cheated on Hill with a Brazilian model. “Ms. Hill is the mother of my children, whom I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for.
