VOTE FOR COMRADE LAMPTAY IK ORIAKHI AS PRESIDENT (Nigerian community in the federation of Spain)

 

Fellow Nigerians, in the wake of the present social economic and moral necessities within the Nigerian community in the federation of Spain and across the west, it has become necessary for me to make this clarion call; not just as a candidate running for the presidency of the Community of Nigerian Nationals in Madrid Spain, but as a concerned and patriotic Nigerian citizen who is motivated to drive a much needed change in our community in the Diaspora.

Today in the federation of Spain, it is no longer news that Nigerians are deported indiscriminately on a regular basis. I believe this is unacceptable and it is a policy that betrays the moral sensibilities of the average Nigerian in the land of Spain. Therefore it is part of my manifesto that if voted in as President, it shall be a primary responsibility in consultation with the leadership of Nigerians in Spain to negotiate with the Nigerian embassy in Spain on the need to stop the indiscriminate signing of TCs to Nigerians in deportations camp.

In pursuance of this, I shall run an administration that would be committed to the unity of Nigerians in the Land of Spain. This I intend to do by creating a regular interactive forum wherein the executive of the community of Nigerian Nationals will be holding regular sessions with heads and representatives of various local, professional and tribal associations. That way, accurate information flow will be easy and the administration will be highly participatory.

I equally intend to be a President who will regularly liaise with leaders of various communities with a view to knowing peculiar problems faced by Nigerians in Spain and fashioning ways of resolving such problems.

It shall be a cardinal objective for me to ensure that the Community of Nigerians in Spain is in constant liaison with the body of Public Defence Attorneys who shall serve as legal representative for the Union. By this, the Union will be regularly equipped to send legal representation to Nigerians in Need at every point in time.

For the complains that have pilled up with respect to high consular charges at the Nigerian embassy, I shall in consultation with the various leadership of the Nigerian Community, liaise tirelessly with the Nigerian embassy on ways of alleviating the sufferings of Nigerians in Spain with reduced consular charges for Police Character Report and other charges.

Through press conferences and releases, I wish to be a President who will ensure that the Nigerians in Spain constantly make their positions clear and known on policies of the Nigerian government that overtly or covertly affect Nigerians in the Diaspora.

Amongst all, the unity and the social-cultural sanctity of Nigerians in Spain shall be of primary interest to me as President. And I shall ensure this with all authority that shall be at my disposal because we are not Igbo Nigeria or Yoruba Nigeria or Edo Nigeria. But we are and always will be the proud citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Fellow Nigerian, the time is now. If you will organize with me, if you will mobilize for me, if you will talk to friends and foes on my behalf and if you will vote for my candidacy as President of the Community of Nigerian Nationals in Madrid Spain, I assure you that there shall be no mountain we would climb and no valley we would exalt as a united people.

Remember the election holds between 12.30pm and 5.30pm on Saturday the 25st of May 2013at Casa Cultural in San Nicasio, Leganes Madrid.
