Blake Lively and Christian Louboutin are the best of buddies, so it is little wonder that the Gossip Girl star gets first pick of what every fashion victim will be wearing on their feet next season.
What did come as a surprise, though, is the style of Louboutin's latest red-soled heels.
The French designer, who is famous for his classic - and very stylish - stilettos seems to have branched out into taxidermy.
One of his newest pair of heels, as seen on Blake Lively in New York this morning, are sparkly, hairy versions of a lion's paws.
Louboutin's heels are a celebrity favourite. Rosie Huntington-Whitely recently admitted that they made her 'feel like a woman'.
'I feel they make you look very sexy, the cuts are beautiful; the lines, the colours the embellishments,' Huntington-Whiteley said.
'If you can save up for a pair: put away a dollar a week. It's worth it girls. It is really worth it!'
We're not sure what she'll think of the company's latest pair, though.
The toe of the light brown shoe is split into four protruding segments with a black, jewelled talon on each section. The stiletto heel is also clad in yellow crystals.

Sarah Jessica Parker wore the Louboutin heels to the Moscow premiere of We Don't Know How She Does It in August.
While Blake used the heels to dress up a casual outfit of brown leather trousers and a loose-fitting cardigan, though, SJP used her heels to add an edge to a floor-length red ballgown.

Lion's paws: The price of the'Alex' shoes has not yet been disclosed, but Louboutin sells stilettos for up to £4,000
The pumps, from the company's Fall/Winter 2011 collection are called Alex, but Louboutin has not revealed why.
Perhaps Christian is a big fan of the lion character, called Alex, in the Madagascar cartoon? Or maybe there is a more believable reason.
Either way, they are not the only feline-related shoes on offer at the moment.
Alexa Chung, Katy Perry and SJP, again, have been spotted in Charlotte Olympia's £485 Kitty flats which have nearly sold out.
You'll need to be just as quick to get your hands - or feet - on Louboutin's lion's paws.
