Fed Govt Ask Glo, MTN, AIRTEL,ETISALAT TO SUSPEND BLACKBERRY Services

in a meeting held this morning by the NCC and CEO's of the telecommunications companies in Nigeria, MTN, Glo, Airtel & Etisalat have all agreed to shut down BlackBerry Services for two (2) weeks owing to the rate of messages spreading over the networks to protest against the removal of fuel subsidy. BlackBerry Services (BIS) on all networks will be suspended at 6 hours GMT (6:00a.m.) On January 4, 2011.
