Tragedy struck in Lagos on Monday when a 30-ton trailer plunged from the top of Ijora-7up bridge.
It was reliably gathered that the trailer was heading towards Apapa on top speed when the driver suddenly lost control apparently due to brake failure. All attempts to manouver the heavy duty vehicle proved abortive.
It was a tragic sight as the trailer fell on top of some white-painted commercial vehicles loading passengers. The vehicles are said to be of inter-states category
