In 2008, LL releases his last LP to date, Exit 13, signifying his 13th album, which includes guest appearances by another Queens rapper, 50 Cent. Though it does not garner as much success or acclaim as his previous releases, it inspires LL to record the first mixtape of his 24-year career, with DJ Kay Slay, The Return of the G.O.A.T.
