Tyranny? Cameroon's President declares bid for another term after 29 year reign

 

Cameroon's President, Paul Biya, 78, has made an official bid for re-election in the forthcoming October elections, after almost 29 years in the seat of power. 

Biya is one of Africa's longest-standing heads of state. He benefited from a 2008 constitutional amendment scrapping limits to presidential terms.
