DRUGS: NDLEA arrests suspects with over 325 bags of Indian hemp

Yola-The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Adamawa State has made a big haul in its attempt to rid the area of hard drugs with the arrest of some suspects with over 326 bags of Indian Hemp worth several milllions of Naira.
State NDLEA Zonal Commander, Hassan Zungeru, made this known when he paraded three suspected dealers on Indian Hemp before newsmen in Yola, the state capital, adding that his aim in parading them, was to elicit public support against the use of the drug by the people.
The three men were paraded following their arrest with 79 bags of Indian Hemp weighing 656.2 kilogrammes, which was meant for distribution at Ngurore and Kpasam areas of the state, allegedly notorious for narcotics trade in the state. www.naijapaymentsonline.com

About three months ago, the NDLEA arrested five suspects from same area with 25 bags of Indian Hemp weighing 216.2 kilogrammes but they were later remanded in court, after being charged to court for the alleged offence just as the two other suspects were earlier arrested with 222 bags of Indian Hemp  by the Nigerian Army.
Zungeru expressed worry over the use of hard drugs in the state, pointing out that most hired killers, armed robbers or political thugs, kidnappers among other criminals, used hard drugs before carrying out their datardly acts, pointing out that there would be no sacred cows in the war against drugs in the state.
