A 54 year-old Nigerian, Rasheed Adewale Martins is currently in the custody of the U.S customs and border protection for allegedly trying to smuggle heroin in the country.
Martins was arrested on June 8, 2011 at the Washington Dulles International Airport on arrival aboard a flight from Paris, France with drugs estimated at a street value of $100,000.
Giving the reasons for his arrest, the airport spokesman, Steve Sapp said: “the job of the customs booth operator is to talk to you and ask you questions. He may ask you questions in a different form to detect any suspicious activity.”
Two other Nigerians, Edobor Okenwa and Yomade Aborishade, have been arrested at the same airport in the last three months for the same drug related offences. www.faceboo.com/emmanuelsamuko
